Do guest houses and homestays need hotel software?
A guest house still has to keep a register of guests with their IDs, take bookings without double booking, and give a proper bill. Software helps when it is light and works on a phone. Keyvasa lets guests check themselves in on their own phone, keeps the register digitally, and gives bills with GST where it applies.
How do guests check in when I am not there?
Each guest gets a link to check in before arrival. They fill in their details, add ID photos for every adult and sign on their phone. When they arrive, you or your caretaker check the original IDs against the photos and hand over the key, so nobody waits while forms are filled in by hand.

What does it cost for a few rooms?
Core is ₹150 a room a month, plus GST, with a monthly minimum of ₹2,500. It includes the front desk, check in before arrival, the room page with WiFi and requests, the bill with UPI payment and the money checks. If you sell on booking sites, Plus adds the channel manager and your own booking page.

Do guests need to download an app?
No. Everything opens in the phone’s browser from a link or a QR code.
Is my police register kept?
Keyvasa keeps a digital register with the ID type and the last 4 characters. Ask your local police station whether they accept it.
